Policies

BONE

Kennel Can Resort´s policies are designed to provide the best service for you and your dog, and to promote a healthy dog population. We adhere to the strictest veterinary and behavioral standards to ensure that every Taurus dog has every health advantage possible.

BONE

All dogs must have current vaccinations (including Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella) and Clients must provide current vaccination records.

If your dog is due, the vaccination must be given at least a week before coming to Kennel Can Resort.

BONE

Dogs must be on a topical flea preventative. If fleas, ticks, or other parasites are present on your dog, s/he will be treated at your expense.

BONE

Your pet's health is very important to us. If your dog requires medical attention, our first choice is to take your dog to your own vet. If this is not possible, we will make sure your dog gets the highest quality care possible in the shortest amount of time.

All medical charges that we incur are due when you pick up your dog.

BONE Owners are responsible for any charges incurred during the dog’s stay, due at time of pick up.

What to expect

BONE
The day starts at 8:00 am – a great time for play!
BONE
Between 9:00 and 10:00 am, breakfast is served and different groups of pups go outside to play.
BONE
Throughout the day, the dogs continue to go outside with their buddies to frolic and chase, and then take nap breaks in our climate controlled kennels.
BONE
In the evening, we feed between 5:00 and 6:00 pm and continue the cycle of play sessions.
BONE

Before bedtime, all dogs are given a last bathroom break and play session before turning in for the night.

Blankets and toys are passed out and we make sure all our dog guests are as comfortable as possible.

BONE
When the lights go out, we leave the radio on at a low level to soothe the pups to sleep. Usually they are zonked out from a full day of play and sleep right through to morning.

About Group Play

BONE
Dogs are placed in play groups according to age, size and temperament. We have several play yards.
BONE

The dogs get to play outside several times a day. The number and length of play sessions is dependent on the weather and the dogs. Some of our more active dogs will go out more often.

BONE
Our yards provide access to shaded areas. The pups have access to fresh water. When they're not outside playing, the dogs nap and recharge inside our kennels.
